Volunteer Opportunities

As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, the Granby Land Trust relies upon the support of volunteers to achieve its land conservation mission. Today, as an organization responsible for stewarding nearly 3,000 acres of land, we need your help more than ever. We encourage you to contact us to discuss how we might be able to put your skills and interests to work in a way that can be meaningful to you while helping to protect Granby’s natural heritage.

If you're interested in volunteering, we have a number of ways you can help ranging from becoming a Property Steward (click here for responsibilities) to helping us organize our Land Trust events.

If you would like to volunteer, please send us an email at info@GranbyLandTrust.org.

We appreciate your active involvement and support!

A fresh blanket of snow ❄️ made for a winter wonderland yesterday morning at the GLT’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve in North Granby. GLT Board Member Eric Lukingbeal captured this beautiful scene of the trail along Stevenson Field on his morning walk.

❄️ Snowy trail on the GLT’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve in North Granby. This beautiful place was preserved forever by longtime GLT Board Member Jamie Gamble who donated this 210-acre property to the Land Trust in 2020. We are so grateful 🙏 for Jamie’s vision and generosity.

Use to walk up that hill all the time when I was younger. My brothers & cousins use to go up there all the time. Especially during the winter when the pond was frozen to go ice skating. Only after my Uncle Olof (Mr. Stevenson) would tell us it was safe! Lots of great memories there. And we just lived up the street (or down the street, depending on which way you are coming from).

Calm before the storm. A quiet morning view of Salmon Brook next to the GLT’s Holcomb Hill Preserve in West Granby.
