Show your love 💚 for nature by joining the Granby Land Trust in our Fourth Annual 🌎 Earth Day Roadside Cleanup, April 24 - 27! Last year, you helped us pick up more than 3,549 pounds of trash covering 52 miles of roadside in Granby 💥. Let’s do even more this year! This is a DIY event – PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE WITH FRIENDS. You simply choose the street or neighborhood you'd like to tidy, then shoot us an email at info@granbylandtrust.org to let us know where you plan to work so we can track our reach. You provide the manpower; we’ll provide the dumpster. Spend however much time you like. And remember: many hands make light work. Invite your family, neighborhood friends, book club, nonprofit organization, youth group, sports team, church group, or any other group to get involved and make a positive impact on our town! Send us a photo (at info@granbylandtrust.org) so we can use it to inspire others. Post a pic on your own social media to inspire your friends. And once you’re done, if you’re over 21, you’re invited to Lost Acres Vineyard for a free glass of wine 🍷(go to granbylandtrust.org to learn more). Let’s make a difference on Earth Day 2025!

The Tales for Trails Library 📚 at the GLT’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve is open for the season! Bring your kids or grandkids to Glazier Cabin, sit on the porch swing overlooking Creamer Pond, and enjoy a book on nature. This little library is designed to encourage young families to take a break and enjoy a book, the view, and each other before moving on. Please note: We ask that you do NOT remove these books from the property. They are to be enjoyed at the cabin – or even down by the pond -- then left back in the library case for others to enjoy as well. The GLT’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve is located at 253 Loomis Street in North Granby. The walk to the cabin is less than .5 mile. For more information on the property, go to www.granbylandtrust.org. We thank GLT Board Member Leslie Judge for all her work on the Tales for Trails Library and we thank Preserve donor Jamie Gamble for making these experiences on this incredible property possible. 🙏
