Nature Signs – An In-Person Program at Granby Land Trust’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve – Postponed to August 10

August 10, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Important update: In response to the State of Connecticut weather alert and area-wide heat advisory, this program is postponed to Wednesday, August 10, 5:30 – 6:30 PM.  Those who registered for the originally scheduled program (July 20) are automatically registered for the new date (August 10).

Bring the family to the GLT’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve for a nature walk led by two Master Wildlife Conservationists! All ages are welcome for an outdoor program, “Nature Signs,” with Ginny Apple and Peggy Lareau. Learn how to detect the presence of wildlife and what to do when you encounter nature’s critters on the trail. Meet at the GLT’s Dismal Brook trailhead at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 10. We will take a half-mile hike to Glazier Cabin and Creamer Pond, where a display of furbearers’ pelts, skulls, and tracks will be available for viewing. This is hands-on learning for all ages.

Register HERE. Then look for a confirmation email from Engaged Patrons. It may include changes to the program location or other important information. Drop-ins are welcome if space allows.

This event is sponsored by Granby Public Library and Granby Land Trust.
