FLASH First Hike on the new Katan-Ensor/GLT Old Messenger Road Preserve Trails

Join us for a FLASH First Hike on the new Katan-Ensor/GLT Old Messenger Road Preserve Trails this Saturday, July 31, at 1:00 PM. We’ll gather at the Katan-Ensor Preserve Trailhead Kiosk.
You will have two options:
- A 2.5-mile hike, starting on the Katan-Ensor Preserve and following the yellow trail onto to the Schlicht Family and Richard P. Garmany Preserves. This hike has some relatively steep elevation gain as we head up to Scarlet Tanager Outlook on the Schlicht Preserve. We will move slowly through this section and the complete hike will take about 1.5 hours.
- A .75-mile hike on the Katan-Ensor Preserve. This hike will take about 30 minutes.
The Katan-Ensor Preserve is in outstanding shape due to the work of many and the entire trail system is beautiful. We look forward to honoring Charlie and Joan Katan on what promises to be a gorgeous day.
Parking is at end of Strong Road, which is off of Rt. 20 in West Granby (GPS: 61 Strong Road). Sorry, but we ask that you please leave your dogs at home. To register, email us at info@granbylandtrust.org.
